To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Audi quattro’s debut at the 1980 Geneva International Motor Show in 2025, Tamiya is releasing a modernized reissue of kit 24031. This new version includes decals, an instruction manual, and updated packaging. A true revolution in the history of four-wheel drive vehicles, the Audi quattro was distinguished by its widened fenders, front and rear spoilers, and most importantly, its permanent all-wheel drive, which made a lasting impression. Under the hood, a 2,144 cc turbocharged inline five-cylinder engine delivered an impressive 200 horsepower. Even today, this iconic car remains a timeless reference, while the name “quattro” remains synonymous with Audi’s all-wheel drive technology.
